Zapier allows you to integrate multiple web applications. It is a web automation app that enables you to build Zaps. Zaps can automate certain tasks in your business and is a blueprint of tasks that you want to do repeatedly.
Using Zapier has two primary phases:
Enabling API and basic auth in Campaign Studio
To enable API and basic auth in Campaign Studio:
Sign in to your Campaign Studio account.
Select Settings > Configuration.
In API Settings, enable the following options:
API enabled
Enable HTTP basic auth
Select Save & Close.
Configuring Zaps in Zapier
To configure Zaps in Zapier, you must:
Setting up trigger
Log in to zapier.com and start creating a Zap. For more information, see Zapier documentation.
In App Event, search for Mautic and select the same.
In Trigger Event, select an event from one of the following options:
Email Viewed
New Form Entry
New Page Hit
Updated Contact
New Contact
Contact Points Changed
Select Continue.
To let Zapier access your Campaign Studio account, select Sign in to Mautic.
Create a new Campaign Studio user account to be used exclusively for Zapier.
Specify the user name and password, and also the URL of your Campaign Studio instance.
Note
You must be an individual user like a Zapier-specific user. In addition, ensure that you remove the forward-slash:
/
that might otherwise appear at the end of the Campaign Studio URL.Select Continue.
In Form, select a form from the available options. Zapier lists all the pre-configured forms from the associated Campaign Studio instance.
Select Test your trigger.
This sets up the trigger.
Configuring actions
After you set up trigger, you must configure actions to follow with the trigger. This ensures that whenever a user performs an act on your trigger, an action follows. For example, if a user submits a form (trigger), an email can be sent (action).
To configure actions in Zapier:
In Action, select an app that can perform the action after the event is triggered. For example, if you want to send an email, you can select Gmail.
Specify the appropriate parameters for the app.
Note
You can send the event details through your action.
Specify a name for Zap and enable the Your Zap is toggle bar.
This completes the Zapier integration with Campaign Studio.
Note
To verify details about all your events, you can access the Task History tab in the Zapier user interface.
