The Instances feature provides an automated method to generate your own credentials to configure your account users for upstream or downstream data from CDP. Each instance is entitled to a specified number of connectors.
The following are the features of instances:
Self-serve integration UI: Create four types of instance connectors, automatically generating a user account to provide you with the necessary integration credentials. You can manage and delete your integration.
User account: Generate credentials that serve as your unique credentials to access the connector.
Instance connector status: Track the readiness of your instance connectors through the connector status. You can manage connectors by viewing their current notification statuses.
The following are the use cases for instances:
Upstream Connectors:
DWTracker: Use DWTracker for API integration. CDP provides up to five connectors with automatic user account generation.
SFTP Service Provision: Implement SFTP integration. CDP provides up to 20 connectors with automatic user account generation.
Downstream Connectors:
360 Profiles: Export records to another system channel through the 360 Profiles integration. CDP provides up to five connectors with automatic user account generation.
AWS S3: Export records to Cloud storage through the AWS S3 integration. CDP provides up to ten connectors with automatic user account generation.
CDP displays the list of all newly-created instances on the Instances page. This page does not display any existing instances that you might want to use with your connectors.
To view all instances:
Click Integrations > Instances.
Note
If you do not see the Instances tab in the user interface, you do not have the correct user role associated with your account. To get access to this user role, contact your CDP administrator.
