The Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) feature helps you to effortlessly upload flat files to a designated SFTP folder so that you can insert them into CDP. SFTP provides robust encryption and guarantees a high level of security during file transmission.
Features¶
- Transformation: Processes data feeds from your source systems and converts flat file feeds to align with the CDP data model for compatibility.
- Predefined schema: Customizes the fixed set of entities and attributes by adding client-specific attributes and entities.
- Automation: Uploads flat files to the designated SFTP directory path. The scheduled workflows in CDP pick up and insert the flat files for processing.
- Additional configuration: Provides customizations through the Custom Attributes feature in the CDP Studio App.
- Encrypted files: Accepts secure and encrypted files after the required credentials and passwords are shared.
Important considerations¶
- The size of a flat file must not exceed 2GB. Split large files into smaller parts.
- Acquia SFTP deletes stored files after the 30-day data retention policy.
- For efficiency, use daily incremental files instead of full files because full files lead to performance issues in data loads and processes. Use full files only for small datasets such as the organization table.
- Ensure that the files are encoded with UTF-8 so that they are compatible.
