You can upload your assets in bulk by dragging and dropping folders, and/or through FTP using the FTP Upload link.
You can use Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) to upload both assets and folders to your Acquia DAM Classic account. SFTP is the only way to upload assets greater than 5 GB in size.
To upload assets using SFTP, use a third-party SFTP client such as FileZilla, Cyberduck, or SmartFTP.

The SFTP server processes a maximum of 250 GB at a time. Imports greater than 250 GB in size must be broken into separate, smaller imports. SFTP imports may take up to 15 to 20 minutes before they are available to Acquia DAM Classic. The existing files must be processed before more files can be uploaded.
Upload assets or folders with SFTP
Using the SFTP credentials you received from your Account Manager, upload the assets or folders to your SFTP server:
Open the SFTP client and create a new website, if necessary.
Enter the following credentials:
Protocol – Select
SFTPHost –
sftp.webdamdb.comUsername – Your SFTP password, which is not the same as your Acquia DAM Classic password
Port – 22
When connected, add the assets or folders into the SFTP queue.
After the SFTP queue finishes processing, you can upload assets.
Upload assets or folders to Acquia DAM Classic
After the assets are uploaded to the SFTP server, administrators and contributors with upload permissions to a folder can upload the assets and folders to Acquia DAM Classic.
Sign in to Acquia DAM and navigate to the folder you want to upload assets or folders to. (If uploading folders, you can also click the Home folder to import the folders as top-level parent folder.)
Click Upload on the actions toolbar, and then select the FTP import tab.
There will be a menu for folders and assets with the number in each displayed. Check the box next to the assets and folders you want to import, or click the box next to the menu to select all.
Click the Import button.
An email and in-system notification will be sent once the SFTP import is complete.
