Acquia DAM Classic has several terms with specific definitions based on their use in the product.

Actions menu | Used to describe all of the pencil icon menus. These menus are available in several places depending on the user’s access level. The options available in this menu will vary depending on where the user is. For instance, the Actions Menu for a folder will differ from the Actions menu for an asset. |
Actions toolbar | The options appearing above the center part of the application in Acquia DAM Classic and Brand Connect. The actions toolbar changes depending on whether you are in the thumbnail view, asset details page or lightbox. |
Asset | The object stored in your Acquia DAM Classic account. An asset is a media item, and can include a photo, document, page layout, video, or audio clip. |
Asset details page | The largest view of an asset. To get this view, double click an asset. |
Display options | View assets as large, medium, or small thumbnails, or in a list. |
Folder | Holds assets, nested folders or both. Assets can exist in a single folder. |
Folder or Asset details panel | The content displayed in the right panel of Acquia DAM Classic when an asset or folder is selected. |
Folder tree | A hierarchical representation of the folders found on the left panel of the account. |
Keyword | A subset of metadata. |
Lightbox | A centralized collection of assets from different folders. |
Selection options | Select or deselect all assets or folders. |
Sort options | Update whether assets are sorted by date uploaded, date captured, name, or size, in ascending or descending order. |
Thumbnail view | The center window of the application, which can include folders and asset thumbnails. |
Top navigation | The top of the page in Acquia DAM Classic and Brand Connect. The top navigation displays the menus available which will vary depending on your access level. |
