The Box integration makes it easy to move files back and forth between Acquia DAM Classic and Box. You can use it to quickly centralize assets stored in various personal or professional Box accounts, and distribute files to people who do not have access to Acquia DAM Classic.
This integration is available to Admin, Contributor, and regular users with download or upload permissions. You can transfer assets smaller than 5 GB; assets greater than 5 GB must use FTP. For information about user role types and their access and permissions, see Managing users and groups.
Enabling the integration
To enable the Box integration:
Sign in to Acquia DAM Classic.
Click the Settings icon in the top navigation, and then click System Preferences.
In the Cloud Sharing Settings section, click the Cloud sharing channels field, and then click Box.
Click Save.
Sending assets to Box
After the administrator enables the Box integration, users with download access can send assets to Box by completing the following steps:
Sign in to Acquia DAM Classic.
Click an asset to navigate to the asset details page.
Click Show Sharing Options in the actions toolbar and select Box from the list.
The first time you send an asset to Box, you must click Add Integration.
Sign in with your Box credentials.
In the dialog box, create a new Box folder or select an existing one.
Click Send. Acquia DAM Classic then sends the assets to the selected folder.
You can use a lightbox to send multiple assets to Box at once by completing the following steps:
Add the assets that you want to send to a lightbox.
Click the Share icon in the actions toolbar, and then click Box.
In the dialog box, create a new Box folder or select an existing one.
Click Send. Acquia DAM Classic then sends the assets to the selected folder.
Sending Box assets to Acquia DAM Classic
To send assets or folders from Box to Acquia DAM Classic, you must have upload permissions in Acquia DAM Classic, and then complete the following steps:
Sign in to your Box account.
Navigate to the Box App Centre and search for ‘WebDAM.’
Select the WebDAM app and add it to your account.
From the main page of your Box account, click the more actions icon next to the folder or asset that you want to send, and then click More Actions > Send file to WebDAM.
Enter your Acquia DAM Classic credentials.
Click the folder to send the asset to. The asset is put into a queue for import.
Acquia DAM Classic will display the files you upload in the folder as Asset Processing while the preview thumbnail is generating.
