Archival storage allows you to store and manage your rarely-used files, while keeping them organized, close-at-hand, and easy to find and access.
Assets that are archived are inactive — therefore not viewable in Brand Connect — and will display an archive icon on the asset thumbnail. After an asset is archived, users cannot download the asset until it is unarchived (which typically takes approximately 24 hours).
Notes
Metadata cannot be added to archived assets.
By default, only assets that are not archived will show up in search results. However, you can filter for archived assets.
Archiving assets
To archive an asset, complete the following steps:
Sign in to Acquia DAM Classic.
Select one or more assets that you want to archive.
Click the archive icon in the actions toolbar, and then click Archive.
Assets are typically archived within 24 hours.
Unarchiving assets
To unarchive an asset, and make it once again available for use, complete the following steps:
Sign in to Acquia DAM Classic.
Select one ore more archived assets that you want to unarchive.
Click the archive icon in the actions toolbar, and then click Unarchive.
During the unarchiving process, assets will display a grayed archive icon on the asset thumbnail. Assets are typically unarchived within 24 hours.
