Dynamic Templates

Dynamic Templates are an add-on feature. Contact your Account Manager to add this feature to your subscription.

Acquia DAM Classic Dynamic Templates are an add-on feature that allow you to make parts of your Adobe InDesign® marketing materials customizable while keeping other parts static, so colleagues and partners can personalize presentations, business cards, catalogs, brochures and other materials without risking your brand consistency. No training or design skills necessary.

You can use Acquia DAM Classic Dynamic Templates when:

  • A member of your sales team needs to customize a data sheet with their contact information.

  • A team member in another office wants to update the pricing, images and dates of a flyer.

  • A marketing manager in another country wants to update the language of a brochure to another language.

Setting up a template

When creating an Adobe InDesign® document that you want to convert into a Acquia DAM Classic Dynamic Templates, we recommend the following best practices:

  • For any layers and objects that should not be editable in Acquia DAM Classic, move them to the background or foreground layer.

  • For layers and objects you want users to have the ability to move, delete, or expand, leave those layers unlocked and do not place on the background and foreground layer.

  • If you want users to have the ability to edit text and replace graphics, but not change the size of the layer or object containing the text and graphics, lock the layer or object.
