Capture visitor identity with Google Tag Manager

  1. Create a new tag titled Personalization - Identity Update - Email.
  2. Add a Personalization Capture Tag.
  3. Select the Capture type as Identity.
  4. In the Identity Custom Parameters expandable section enter email as the parameter name and map it to a dataLayer variable which has the value to be captured.
  5. Add a Trigger to the tag.
  6. Click Save to use this tag to capture a visitor’s identity.
