Our scan is a powerful tool that scans all pages of a website. The configurations that are explained in this document may require the help of an advanced website administrator with HTML knowledge.
This article gives instructions on how to configure password-protected pages for the scan.
This section gives instructions on how to set up user credentials so that we can access and scan protected pages on your website.
Click Settings (gear icon) at the top of the Domain Overview page. The Admin Settings page opens.
The Settings button is only available to site admins.
Click Action on the same row as the domain to scan.
Select Edit Domain in the drop-down list.
The Edit Domain page opens.
Scroll to the Login Type section.
Select Login Type: Click the drop-down arrow and select Form.
The Form fields section expands.
Input Selector: Enter the CSS selector that identifies the input selector of the form field/button, for example, #username or #password.
"Name" can only be used if the name is unique.
"ID" is usually unique and the preferred choice.
The pages are now set up and are included in the next on-demand or scheduled scan.
Office 365 and Basic Auth require the registered email or username and password.
Custom logins may require a developer or web team member for the initial setup.
