Acquia Commerce Manager provides a secure method for connecting a Drupal website to your commerce platform, which enables you to provide the products and services that your customers need. With this integration, you can more effectively enhance your online product pages and catalogs, and embed a shopping experience into your branded content and media.
Acquia Commerce Manager includes the following components:
- Lightning for Commerce
Lightning for Commerce is Acquia's commerce-centered version of our Lightning distribution. It includes the Acquia Commerce Manager modules, making installation and configuration faster and easier.
- Acquia Cloud Site Factory with PCI compliance or Acquia Cloud Enterprise with PCI compliance
Your Acquia Commerce Manager website is hosted on Acquia Cloud Enterprise with PCI compliance or Acquia Cloud Site Factory with PCI compliance to ensure end-to-end security for your store and your customers.
- Commerce Connector Service
Acquia's flexible service that handles the communication between your Drupal website and your commerce solution.
Acquia Commerce Manager provides a connector to your commerce solution, and has the following features out-of-the-box:
- Categories and products synchronization
Categories are stored in a hierarchical taxonomy and products are stored as SKU entities for every possible SKU + nodes for the displayable products. Drupal can be used to build the expected features — such as navigation menu, product listing pages, products search, product detail page — which can then integrate with your commerce solution for product details that include initial price, final price, configurable options like size or color, cross sell, textual fields, media galleries, and so on.
- Cart management
Acquia Commerce Manager provides a cart mechanism for products, including an Add to cart functionality that can be customized for single products or multiple products on a webpage, as well as a cart summary for your website header, content summary, and support for promotional codes. It also synchronizes with your commerce solution, allowing for persistent carts if your user's shopping experience is interrupted.
- Checkout flow
Acquia Commerce Manager provides a default checkout workflow for your use, that can also be customized to suit the needs of your organization.
- User management
The commerce solution can be used as customer repository and even as authentication backend. A local copy of the user is stored in Drupal, but after every update it is pushed to the commerce solution.
