SOAP web service adaptor

Acquia Journey supports both Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) web services and REST web service adaptors.

Creating the connection

To create a new SOAP Web Service connection, complete the following steps:

  1. Sign in to the Acquia Journey interface.

  2. In the Connections tab, click Create Connection.

  3. In the Type list, click SOAP Web Service.

Unlike the REST web service adaptors, the Web Service Definition (WSDL) location is set at the connection level rather than at an environment level.

  4. Select a SOAP web service connection, and in the WSDL Location URL field, enter a URL for the WSDL location.

    Note

Acquia Journey supports only URLs for WSDL locations.

Testing the SOAP web service connection

To test the SOAP web service connection, complete the following steps:

  1. Sign in to the Acquia Journey interface.
  2. Select an environment (such as default), and then add any required Constant HTTP Request Headers (such as authentication or API keys).
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page, and then click Test Connection.

If the WSDL location is valid and the service endpoint is reachable, Acquia Journey will display a dialog that indicates a successful connection.

For more information about creating, configuring, or testing connections, see Managing Acquia Journey connections.
