Is it possible to rename a site collection?

Resolution¶

Site collections in Acquia Cloud Site Factory cannot be renamed; however, you are able to create a new site collection with the preferred site collection name, and then move the sites into that new collection.

For governance best practices, we recommend naming your site collections with a pattern, e.g. if the site is called www.example.com, then the collection might be called "example-sc". In general, creating a naming standard for your Site Factory site collections is recommended.
