In addition to the environment variables provided by Cloud Platform, you can also create custom environment variables using the Cloud Platform user interface. These custom environment variables are set globally on a per-environment basis and can be used to define anything your application may need to work with, including Drupal APIs and environments.
To add a custom environment variable:
- Sign in to the Cloud Platform user interface.
- Go to Codebases and select a specific codebase.
Click Environment and select an environment for which you want to create an environment variable.
- Click Variables.
- Add the variable by following the steps in Creating custom environment variables.
