Acquia AI Provider for Cloud Platform connects your Drupal application to powerful Large Language Models (LLMs) with no requirements for custom API integrations. With this, you can build and use AI-powered features directly in your Drupal site for a seamless content and development experience. In addition, this ensures that there is a unified workflow that does not require content editors to switch between different tools and developers to manage complex, time-consuming integrations.

AI Provider consists of the following components: 

• AI gateway service that provides access to Large Language Models (LLMs)
• Drupal module that provides the integration between Drupal AI modules and Acquia’s AI gateway.

Enabling AI Provider

To enable the AI Provider for your Drupal site:

1. Sign in to the Cloud Platform user interface with the Owner or Administrator role, and then select the environment you want to work with.
2. In Configuration, click the AI Provider tab.
3. Toggle the switch to enable the Enable AI Provider option. 
   This generates the necessary credentials for your environment and injects them into your Drupal site.
4. Install the Acquia AI Provider module on your Drupal site. 
   Once installed, the system automatically uses the credentials from the Cloud Platform environment.

Your Drupal application is connected to the AI provider service. You can begin to use Drupal AI modules to leverage its capabilities. For more information, visit Drupal AI initiative.

Disabling AI Provider

To disable the AI Provider for your Drupal site::

1. Uninstall the Acquia AI Provider module on your Drupal site.
   Ensure that you disable any AI configuration that depends on this provider.
2. Sign in to the Cloud Platform user interface with the Owner or Administrator role, and then select the environment you want to work with.
3. In Configuration, click the AI Provider tab.
4. Toggle the switch to disable the Enable AI Provider option. 
   This removes the credentials from your Drupal site.

Viewing available models

To view the available models from AI Provider:

1. Log into your Drupal site with administrator privileges.
2. Navigate to Administration > Configuration > AI.
3. Click Provider Settings.
4. Click Acquia AI Gateway to load the provider information page.
5. Scroll to the Available Models section.
   Listed in this section are the available models and their capabilities.

Monitoring AI Credits usage

To view your current balance and budget:

1. Sign in to the Cloud Platform user interface as an Owner or Administrator, and click Manage.
2. Click your organization’s information card.
   The system displays the Organizations page.
3. In the left menu, click Subscriptions.
   The Cloud Platform user interface displays all Cloud Platform subscriptions associated with the organization.
4. In the Entitlements section, access the AI Credits card. 
   Your subscription’s usage is shown.
   Note

   To ensure accuracy, usage data is synced to your Cloud Platform subscription page every 30 minutes.
