Connect Acquia DAM to Adobe Express
The CI HUB Connector enables creative teams to connect Acquia DAM directly to Adobe Express. This integration eliminates the requirement to download assets from the DAM and upload them to Adobe Express manually and reduces the risk of using outdated or incorrect files. You can upload your finished designs directly back to the DAM.
To begin, you must install the connector within Adobe Express.
Open Adobe Express and select Add-ons in the lower-left menu.
Search for "CI HUB" and select the Universal DAM Connector.
In the right panel, select Log in or Register to sign in with your CI HUB ID.
After you install the connector, you must link your Acquia DAM site.
In the CI HUB panel, select the plus icon (+) to add a new connection.
Search for Acquia or Acquia DAM in the integration list.
Select the plus sign (+) next to the Acquia DAM logo.
Enter your Acquia DAM site URL and select Log in.
Select Allow to grant CI HUB access to your DAM account.
You can browse and use your Acquia DAM assets without leaving the Adobe Express interface.
Select the search icon in the navigation bar to enter keywords. The connector searches across categories, file formats, filenames, metadata fields, and collections. You can use the Filter section to refine results by specific metadata, such as orientation or use rights.
To add assets to your design:
Drag and drop: Drag an asset from the result list onto your canvas.
Select rendition: Select an asset to access details, and then select Use file. Select the specific rendition (resolution) you require, and then select Place.
You can save your finished Adobe Express project or local files back to Acquia DAM.
Select Add file in the CI HUB panel.
Select the source of the file:
Active Adobe Express document: Uploads the current page you edit.
Local file system: Enables you to browse and upload a file from your computer.
Select an Upload Profile.
Optionally, rename the file.
Select Ok to complete the upload.
Technical details
Permissions: You can search for and access only assets that you have permission to access in Acquia DAM. If you do not have download permissions for an asset, you receive an error if you try to use it.
Versioning: The connector does not support live linking. If you upload a new version of an asset to Acquia DAM, it does not update in your Adobe Express design. You must search for the asset again and replace it
