Assets can be deleted at any time if ou no longer need them or if they are old and outdated. You must have permission to delete assets in an asset group in order to remove assets from your site.

There are multiple ways to delete assets:

• With the trash can Delete icon on an asset's thumbnail in search results
• Through the Asset Details page
• Through the Asset Digest page using the three-dot menu
• In batch through the Selection panel

Delete a single asset with the Delete icon or use the three-dot menu in Asset Digest.

Deleted assets are placed in the Pending Delete queue on the Admin dashboard. As a Acquia DAM (Widen) admin, you can review and permanently delete or restore assets to the site from that queue. Asset groups are not deleted when assets are deleted.
