To more quickly find the assets you need based on criteria you want, you can sort search results using the Sort by dropdown. After you make a sort-by selection, the site will remember your last selection and sort all future results in the same manner.
The Sort by options available depend on the version of search you're using.
Using redesigned search, you can sort by:
- Relevance: This is the default sort for search results. Most relevant is determined by a scoring algorithm that compares search terms to all of the searchable information for each asset. It also considers both frequency and uniqueness when matching terms.
-
Date added: The date the asset was initially uploaded, not including versions. You can sort by Newest to oldest or Oldest to newest.
-
Date updated: The most recent date the asset was updated with new versions, metadata edits, or other changes that display in asset history. You can sort by Newest to oldest or Oldest to newest.
-
Filename: For filenames, you can sort by A to Z or Z to A. Assets are ordered alphanumerically, meaning if you sort by A to Z, filenames that start with punctuation comes first (based on unicode value order), then assets are listed numerically and finally alphabetically.
Using classic search, you can sort by file info details like expiration date, file format, the date assets were uploaded to the site, and more.
