Crop and resize images in one window¶
The download modal now includes cropping. Crop images and select aspect ratios – in addition to setting dimensions – on the fly when you download from Asset Digest or redesigned search results. ¶
Insights reports updates
A new report type is available for asset views, which are views that happen on the Asset Details page, Asset Digest, Quick View, share links (updated share experience only), and portals. This report type doesn’t include views from embed links and legacy share links. In the future, we’ll release another report type for embed views specifically.
New app available! Video Creator¶
The Video Creator app allows you to create and edit videos using assets from DAM, then export those files back to DAM.
Choose from many video templates and modify text, colors, fonts, images, music, and footage to make it your own, or build your content using pre-animated, editable clips. Alternatively, start from scratch and compose your video content based on your own DAM assets combined with royalty-free assets in the Video Creator libraries. You can use AI features to generate scripts, voiceover, subtitles, translations, and transcripts – or even create an entire video. Learn more about Video Creator.
If you’re interested in purchasing the Video Creator app, contact your Acquia rep or Acquia DAM Support.
Portals text editor update¶
Recently, we updated the rich text editor (RTE) in Portals to make it more accessible.
In the new RTE:
- Five heading sizes are now available. These are accessible headings that are read by screen readers.
- Line height is set to a fixed 120%, or 1.2 em.
- You can only have one text size on a single line.
- You can make bulleted and numbered lists. Text in these lists can only be Normal text size.
The sizes of the text in the new RTE are different than they were in the old RTE. Here’s a comparison.
Old text option | Font size | New text option | Font size |
Huge | 46 px | Huge text | 28 px |
Large | 21 px | Extra large text | 21 px |
Normal | 14 px | Large text | 16.38 px |
Small | 12.25 px | Normal text | 14 px |
Tiny | 10.5 px | Small text | 12.6 px |
New Entries permission ¶
The Entries app has a new permission which allows users to create and edit product details. This means you set up your PIM so some people can modify products and some have view-only access.¶
CI HUB Connector available for Entries¶
Skipped rows details for Entries imports¶
We’ve added a skipped rows summary to the manual import history in Entries. There you can skim any errors that cause rows of product information to be skipped during the import of a spreadsheet, then download the file with errors noted and correct them.
Translate product info in Entries
In Entries, you can now translate product information into more than 50 languages if you have the syndication tool. Learn more about the Translation Assistant.
Bug fixes¶
- There was an issue where renaming a customized template and then editing it caused the filename to revert to the original. Now, document titles and metadata changes are working correctly.
- Warning messages about deleting assets that are integrated with other web applications are now displaying properly.
- Three issues with Channel Portals – an issue with clicking the share button, security settings always set to public, and access codes not being retained – are now fixed.
- An issue where product attributes were showing up out of order in Channel Portals has been resolved.
- A bug where uploaded assets were not being released at the right time has been fixed. Now, assets are releasing as expected at midnight on the specified date according to the user's local time.
- For portals that have been expired or deleted, the access code page will now redirect to the “Portal Not Available” page.
