How can I instruct the Web Governance scan to ignore canonical URLs?
Date Published: January 31, 2025
A canonical URL is the URL of the page that Google determines is most representative, taken from a set of duplicate pages on the website.
- Navigate to the Domain Overview page.
Click Action on the same row as the domain that you want to activate the Ignore canonical URLs functionality on and select Edit Domain from the expanded list of options.
The system displays the Edit domain page.
- Locate the Crawl Options section.
Toggle the Ignore canonical URLs switch ON.
This causes the scan to disregard canonical URLs.
