What sitemap content types are supported by the Web Governance scan?

Web Governance supports the following sitemaps for the initial domain URL:

• application/xml

• application/x-xml

• text/xml

• application/atom+xml

• application/rss+xml

• text/rss

• application/rdf+xml

• text/plain

• application/gzip

• application/gzip-compressed

• application/gzipped

• application/x-gzip

• application/x-gzip-compressed

• application/x-gunzip

• gzip/document

These content types are supported by the sitemap parser used by the Web Governance crawler when sitemaps are detected also in a robots file.
