After you complete the steps to use CNAME forwarding for your domain or subdomain, you can determine if the CNAME record is set up correctly and pointing to your Site Factory website or site collection. To do this, complete the following steps:

1. In your browser, go to https://www.easywhois.com/.
2. Enter your domain name, and then click DNS Information Lookup.

If the record is set up correctly, the webpage displays your website name with its Site Factory URL.

Acquia Support can’t help you until the records are set and propagated. After the CNAME record is set and correct, it can still take up to 48 hours for the records to propagate. Until then, the Site Factory servers can’t find your record, which is required to connect your record to your account.

If necessary, repeat the steps you took to point your domain to your Site Factory website or site collection until the DNS query returns a Site Factory URL. You can also contact your domain registrar or DNS provider for help.
