Getting started¶

The Acquia-VWO Connect Drupal module integrates your site with Acquia Convert. It replicates the functionality of the VWO module and provides additional Acquia-specific features.

VWO enables the creation of segments, and this module provides additional Drupal-specific configurations to allow you to capture content metadata with page views in Acquia Convert.

This module currently supports field mappings for Content Section, Content Keywords, and Persona from common content type taxonomies on the site to create segments in Convert Testing and Convert Personalize.

Requirements¶

The following are the requirements for installing and configuring the Acquia-VWO Connect module:

• Drupal website on the current Drupal version
• Administrative access to your Drupal website
• Acquia Convert subscription
• Acquia Convert account ID

Installing the module and configuring the content¶

1. Install the Acquia-VWO Connect module and its dependencies from Drupal.org.
2. Click People > Permissions or access http://[site_URL]/admin/people/permissions.
3. Configure user roles and permissions for VWO.
4. Click Configuration > Acquia VWO Settings or access http://[site_URL]/ /admin/config/system/acquia_vwo.
5. Configure the Acquia-VWO Connect module:
   1. In the VWO Account ID field, enter the account ID.
   2. Click Submit.
   3. Click the Extract Account ID tab to extract the account ID.
   4. On the Visibility tab, configure the visibility to show only on specific pages, roles, or content types.

   5. On the Field Mapping tab, select the field that you want to use for each segment.

      For each segment, you can reuse existing fields or create new vocabularies and term reference fields.

   6. Click Save configuration.
6. To understand content types:
   1. Click Structure > Content Type > Manage Fields.
   2. Locate the field types with an entity reference to a taxonomy term.
   3. Click Taxonomy > List Terms to view details of the data populated.
   4. Determine whether the content is configured to capture additional taxonomy terms with data such as Category, Tags, and Persona.

Utilizing Drupal taxonomy in Acquia Convert¶

1. Go to Personalize or Testing.
2. Edit or create a new campaign to edit your experience.
3. Select Custom Segment.

4. Filter by Page Visit to define the targeting criteria.

   The Drupal taxonomies are attached to a page visit. You can access the new content types in the sub criteria.
