The Amazon Translate native integration in Acquia DAM automatically monitors newly generated AI Tags or specified metadata fields, translates source terms through AWS Amazon Translate, and populates target metadata fields with localized, multi-language tags.
Customer benefits
- Global Asset Discoverability: International teams and local creators search, filter, and find assets in preferred languages.
- Automated Localization at Scale: The system removes manual translation work and metadata errors across global taxonomies.
- Flexible Language Support: The system uses neural machine translation and supported languages from Amazon Translate.
- Seamless Ingest Pipeline: The system operates automatically in the background when you add assets and apply AI tags.
Prerequisites
Before you configure the Amazon Translate native integration, ensure that you meet these requirements:
- An active Acquia DAM instance with administrator permissions.
- An active Amazon Web Services (AWS) account with access to the Amazon Translate service.
How the integration works
- When an asset is added to Acquia DAM, it receives AI Tags or metadata field updates automatically.
- Every five minutes, the background integration checks for updated source fields or AI Tags.
- Acquia DAM sends the keyword array to your connected AWS Amazon Translate instance using the AWS API.
