Native integrations connect Acquia DAM with other MarTech software solutions, such as Google Drive or Salesforce, to streamline processes and automate repetitive tasks.
These integrations are automated workflows built and managed by Acquia’s native integrations team and are different from partner integrations, which are managed by a partner company. The DAM Customer Support team will maintain native integrations once they are developed and live.
Native integrations work by using “triggers” and “actions.”
A trigger in the DAM or the integrated app starts the automated workflow based on some criteria, such as uploading a new asset to the DAM.
When the trigger event is detected, it causes one or more automated actions in the DAM or the integrated app. Actions could include uploading assets, updating metadata, or sending asset details, like an embed code, downstream.
Native integrations run automatically in the background, always looking for trigger events and carrying out the automated actions. All updates or changes to the native integration are handled by the support team.
