How do I clear my cache?

You may want to clear your browser's cache when web pages error or if issues occur while displaying assets. The cache is saved files that your browser retains copies of to produce web pages faster.

As improvements and bug fixes are made to the files behind the scenes, serving up a cached version of a web page may result in errors because the cached version does not have the appropriate coding to function as it should. Clearing the cache allows your browser to request and obtain the latest version of the file or web page.

The cache is cleared differently in each supported browser.

Chrome

  1. Click Chrome in the menu bar. (Note: Alternately, chrome://settings/clearBrowserData can be entered into the browser bar.)
  2. Select Clear Browsing Data.
  3. Select the desired time range. To clear the entire cache, select the All time option.
  4. Select the items to clear, like browsing, cookies, and download history.
  5. Click the Clear data button.

  1. Click History in the Firefox menu bar. (Note: If the menu bar is hidden, click Alt to make it visible.)
  2. Click Clear Recent History.

  4. Click OK.

Through Preferences:

  2. Click Preferences.
  3. Click Privacy & Security.
  4. Under Cookies and Site Data, select Clear Data.
