Comments are a great way to give feedback on proofs that are under review. When your approval is required, commenting will be automatically enabled when you view proofs. Any proofs your approval is required for will be listed under Make a decision in your tasks list. If you're included as a commenter, the proof will be listed under Add comments in your tasks list.
There are a number of ways you can add comments on a proof. Use a pin (the quote bubble option) to drop them on specific locations or draw rectangles (the square with the downward-facing arrow) to indicate the areas you want to comment on. For documents, text annotations allow you to highlight the text you'd like changed or strike through it if you want it deleted. When highlighting text, it'll automatically display in the activity stream for you to suggest changes. Text to be removed will also automatically be indicated as such in the activity stream.
Drop a quick comment using the pin. To use the pin, click the spot in the proof where you want to leave your comment, and a numbered pin will drop in that location. Type your comment in the activity stream.
If there's a paragraph of text or a larger area of an image you'd like a comment to apply to, use the rectangle tool to add that feedback. Draw the rectangle around that area, then type your comment in the activity stream.
To comment on text, select a portion of it in assets like Word and PDF files by using the text annotations. Select one or multiple pieces of text, then type your comment. If you need to rotate a proof to highlight text, you can do that, too. Proofs can be rotated to the right in 90-degree increments and comments will travel with the proof as it's rotated. Select strikethrough to delete text.
When reviewing, you'll see comments from other reviewers if any have been added. Reply to those comments by simply clicking Reply in the activity stream. Reply with text or links to other resources in your comments so others can see what you're referencing.
Note that comments don’t carry forward from one version to the next in a proof.
Mention others involved in the project in a comment by using the @ symbol and entering their name. Reviewers, proof providers, and managers can be mentioned, and they'll receive an email notifying them of the mention. They can reply to the comment from that email or head to the app to reply.
Only people with Acquia DAM accounts can be mentioned in comments.
If you need to see a proof in more detail, the plus and minus buttons allow you to choose how far to zoom in. Zoom in up to 500%, and the proof will automatically adjust, making it easier to see the fine details or read small text.
Quickly see comments others have given by showing comments, or hide them if you'd like to see a clean version of the proof. Click Show Comments to see comments you or someone else has already indicated or Hide Comments to see a proof without them.
After you're done providing your feedback, you'll choose a comment status. Select to approve, approve with edits, or request changes.
If you're a reviewer whose comments are requested, you can indicate that you’re finished when you've completed adding feedback on the proof. Note that if you select to finish commenting, but have additional comments, you can continue to add those until review of the current version is complete.
