On the next screen, under Crop, select a preset aspect ratio from the dropdown (1:1, 2:3, 4:3 or 16:9) or Freehand to draw your crop box manually.
When you select an aspect ratio, a box will display over the image preview and you can drag it to another position and resize it. The output dimensions update to fit that ratio. If you select None, it will reset to have no crop.
To crop, click the crop tool icon below the asset's preview.
When you've completed cropping, choose to crop and create the view of it or download the crop as a GIF, JPG, or PNG. You can also copy the share link or embed code to your clipboard.
For share links and embed codes with a branded URL, the cropped image will download. For share links and embed codes without a branded URL, if you download the crop, the download will be of the full-sized image, not the cropped image.
If file extensions are included in filenames on your site, extensions will be included with filenames of downloaded cropped assets.
When you select Crop & create view, that will be the default view of the asset on the Asset Details page.
After cropping, the original and cropped view or clipping path of the asset display in the Views area below the preview. Click either view to see a larger version. Click the cropped version to download or share it, to set it as the default view, or to delete the view. The default view will display when the asset appears in search results, share links, or embed links.
When downloading, if the cropped view is selected as the default view, users should select a conversion format that is not the original format because the cropped view will not be downloaded as the original format.
Only one cropped version is maintained as an alternate view of the original asset.
