Tags are a controlled list of keywords that are clickable in the Asset Digest and searchable in Acquia DAM (Widen). They help keep assets organized and make it easier for others to discover assets. Tags are an opt-in feature that admin can set up for their DAM. 

Viewing and adding tags in Asset Digest 

All DAM users can view tags for individual assets in Asset Digest. Go to the Asset info section and you'll find tags within the Details tab. If you have permission to edit metadata, you can add and remove tags in the Asset Digest. 

When adding a tag, as you start typing, existing tags that match your text will display in a dropdown. Select an existing keyword, or if your tag doesn't exist, select Create tag in the dropdown. 

 

    


If you click on a tag, you will go to search results that include all assets tagged with that keyword.

When you do a quick search, the results will include any assets that have tags or metadata that match your search phrase. You can also perform an advanced search of tags that include a search phrase. 

 

Tags are also searchable through version 1.0 and version 2.0 of the API.
 

Uploading with tags

You can add tags during asset upload on the Add metadata page. Choose a tag from the list of existing ones or create a new tag. There is no limit of the number of words in a single tag. 

 

Managing tags 

If you have the Administrate Metadata Types permission, you can access the full list of tags used in your Acquia DAM (Widen). Go to the Admin app and select Tags Management. On that page, you can create, edit, and delete tags.
