How do I use the mobile app?

Our mobile app offers a quick and easy way to find, preview, download, and share assets with colleagues or customers from wherever you are. Search for assets or use asset categories and collections to find the ones you need. Download or share up to 10 assets. The app includes all the assets you have access to from the full Acquia DAM (Widen) site.

Access the mobile app

To access the app, you’ll just need your mobile device and access to a DAM account.

Ready to get started? First, download the Acquia DAM app from the App Store or Google Play.

After opening the app, you’ll be presented with an access code, which will be used to allow access and to verify the company you work for. The access code is valid for five minutes, so if it expires, click Refresh to obtain a new one.

Once you have an access code, log in to the DAM on your mobile device via any web browser and select your user profile. Then choose Mobile access and enter the access code from your device.

That’s it! You can now access the mobile app.

A few things to note: If you log in to the DAM site once every 30 days, you’ll stay logged in to the mobile app. If you’re unable to log in to the DAM once in that timeframe, you’ll be logged out of the mobile app and will be presented with another access code to access the app again.

Search for assets

Once you’re in, enter a search term to find assets, or use voice-to-text to search, and see new and recently viewed assets.

From search results, use the filters to quickly narrow in on assets you need.

See larger previews of images in search results in either thumbnail view or list view.

See metadata and security information

Tap an asset to see more details about it, including metadata, security, and usage rights information.

Create collections

Create a collection by tapping the plus ( + ) icon for an asset, then selecting Add new collection.

Title the new collection, then select Done and the collection will be created.

Tap Collections to see the collections an asset is in.

Remove an asset from a collection

If an asset no longer needs to be in a collection, click to view the collections it’s in, then slide the collection name to the left and tap Remove.

Search collections and asset categories

Search collections or asset categories by selecting either icon to navigate to a specific one. You can also search within collections, categories, and subcategories.

Select assets

You can download and share up to 10 assets from the mobile app. Tap Select to choose those assets.

After you’re done, tap the number selected, choose to download or share, then complete the EULA and intended use, if enabled. View or clear the selected assets if you no longer wish to download or share them.

Expired and unreleased assets cannot be shared.

You’ll be notified if assets you don’t have permission to cannot be downloaded or shared.

Share assets

Quickly text or email to share an asset with your phone contacts and apps.

If the end-user license agreement (EULA) for internal (logged in) downloading and sharing is enabled in your site, you'll need to review that before sharing. Intended use within the site may also be enabled, so you'll need to choose one before sharing.

The Share icon won’t be displayed for expired and unreleased assets.

Download assets

Download original file formats, or download a web-friendly PNG of images, PDFs, and Microsoft Office documents.

If the EULA for internal (logged in) downloading and sharing is enabled in your site, you'll need to review that before downloading. Intended use within the site may also be enabled, so you'll need to choose one before downloading.

After you select a file format to download, save the image to your device or share it to another app.
