Use Bulk Edit in Acquia DAM to modify up to 500 assets simultaneously. Edit metadata, categories, tags, and security settings with a two-panel interface.
Prerequisites¶
- Contributor access to Acquia DAM
- Permissions to edit metadata, categories, or security settings
- Assets selected in the updated search experience
Accessing Bulk Edit¶
In the updated search experience, select up to 500 assets.
Select the Edit icon in the bulk selection tool.
- The bulk editor opens in a new page with two panels:
Left panel: Displays asset thumbnails & filenames, as well as selectable asset information.
Right panel: Contains all editable components.

Viewing current values¶
- In the left panel, open the column selector.
- Select fields to display current values.
- Review the existing information before you make changes.
- “No value” indicates empty fields.
- “Field not available” appears when a field is not part of an asset's metadata type.
Completing bulk edits¶
- Make adjustments in the right panel.
- Select Apply to process the edits.
- Review the summary page, which lists all changes.
Each modification is recorded in the asset's history.

- Maximum of 500 assets per bulk edit session
- Available edit modes depend on field type
- Some fields may be restricted based on permissions
- AI tags and transcripts are not supported for bulk edits in the current version
