The Wrike Native Connector eliminates the process of manual download and reupload of assets between Acquia DAM and Wrike. With this integration, you can search your DAM assets directly in the Wrike UI, upload new files or asset versions to the DAM, and complete relevant metadata without leaving the Wrike workspace.
This ensures that your teams always work with the most current, approved assets to reduce errors and save valuable time.
Prerequisites and setup
The Wrike Native Connector requires a paid subscription. After you purchase a subscription, your Customer Success Manager (CSM) or Account Manager (AM) submits a provision request. Acquia Support provisions the connection and provides three credentials:
A Domain URL
A Client ID
A Client Secret.
To configure the integration in Wrike:
In Wrike, explore the Wrike Apps + Integrations panel.
Search for Cloud Content Connector.
Under Connections, select Add new connection.
Enter the Domain URL, Client ID, and Client Secret provided by Acquia Support.
Authenticate with your Acquia DAM account credentials.
Using the integration
Acquia DAM user permissions and access levels govern which assets each Wrike user can search for and attach. Only assets that the user is authorized to use are visible in the search results in Wrike.
Attach an asset from Acquia DAM to a Wrike task
Go to the Wrike task and select Add Files.
Select Acquia DAM from the list.
If prompted, enter your credentials to authorize the DAM connection.
Search for the desired asset.
Note
DAM Advanced Search Query syntax is supported in the search bar. Visit Quick search tips.
Select one or more assets and select Attach Files.
A globe icon appears next to the file to indicate that it is securely stored in Acquia DAM.
Upload a file from Wrike to Acquia DAM
Go to the Wrike task that contains the file you want to upload to DAM.
Select the file and select Upload to Acquia DAM.
Select Next on the Choose Destination page. The destination is already set to the Assets app.
Select the appropriate Upload Profile.
Complete the upload form with any relevant metadata.
Select Upload. Wrike processes the upload, and a globe icon appears next to the file when the upload is done.
Add a new version to Acquia DAM
Go to the Wrike task that contains the file.
Select the asset you want to update.
Select Add Version.
Select the file from your computer. The new version uploads to DAM.
Limitations and considerations
Note the following limitations of the Wrike Native Connector:
Only one Wrike and DAM instance can connect at a time.
Use of the Wrike Proofer with DAM assets is not supported.
Use of Wrike workflow automation is not supported.
To upload a new version of an asset, the system uses the same upload profile as the original asset. Your upload profile must be set to auto-version. Otherwise, the updated asset ends up in the conflict queue.
