Introduction

The Web Governance Policy Assistant is an AI-powered tool that helps you create custom policies. Because you engage in a conversational interface with the AI Assistant, you can quickly generate policies that are tailored to your needs. When the policy is created, select the domains that you want to apply the policy to.

How to access Policy Assistant

This section provides instructions on how to access Policy Assistant.

• Click Global Policies Overview on the top navigation bar.

  

• Click Policy Assistant, a sparkle icon, on the tab bar on the page menu.

  

How to use Policy Assistant

This section provides instructions on how to create a policy with the Policy Assistant.

• Click Policy Assistant on the Global Policies page menu bar.
• Click Agree to agree to the terms on the start page and open the assistant.
• On the Policy Assistant page, you can do one of the following actions:
  • Type a custom prompt into the input field at the bottom.
  • Click on one of the pre-made suggestions to start a conversation.
• The assistant asks follow-up questions to refine your policy requirements. Enter answers to the prompts in the text box at the bottom of the page.
• Once enough information is gathered, the assistant provides a policy summary and asks for your confirmation. If the summary meets your expectations, confirm in order to proceed with policy generation. 

• After the policy is generated, click View Policy to review it.

  

  If you need to make any edits at this point, visit Create a custom policy.

• The New Policy page opens. Select the domains that you want to apply the policy to and then click Save. You have the option at this stage to rename the policy if needed (a suggested name is provided by the assistant).
• The Policy List page opens. Policies that are created with the Policy Assistant are marked with a sparkle icon for easy identification.

Your new policy runs immediately after it is saved for the first time. It will also run each time a domain scan is done.

Reset the conversation

This section provides instructions on how to reset the conversation.

• Click Reset conversation, a recycle icon, in the dialog box.
• A dialog asks, "Are you sure you want to clear this conversation and start a new one? Please note that all previous messages from this conversation will be cleared." Select one of the following options:

  • Yes, start a new chat

    • The current conversation is disregarded and the dialog begins from the start.

  • No, don't clear this chat

    • The message No, don't clear this chat is displayed in the chat conversation. Type a new message in the dialog box to continue the conversation.
