How many times does the scan attempt to restart after it fails?
The Optimize scan attempts to re-initiate several times after it fails.
After 10 failed attempts to retry, the system sends you an Overdue domain email with the following message:
After 20 failed attempts, the system sends you an Inactive domain email with the following text and also sets the domain to inactive:
We have been unable to complete a scan of "Yoursite" (https://), which was scheduled on "Date of start". The domain is now inactive; however, a site administrator can take any of the actions below on the domain.
You can: Make sure the domain URL listed above is accessible. If it is not, go to Admin > Domains > Edit to update the URL. Make sure our crawler's IP address (35.240.89.5) is not blocked by your company's firewall. Set the domain to inactive if it is temporarily unavailable. Go to Admin > Domains > Edit and uncheck "Crawl automatically" to set the domain to inactive. Remove the domain from your account if it is no longer available. If none of the above apply, contact our Support team. This email has been sent to all administrators of your account.
