The Sites Dashboard provides the option to configure password protection for sites to ensure security and privacy.

Use the following steps to configure password protection for a site.

• Log in to Acquia Source to open the Sites Dashboard.

• On the Sites tab, locate the intended site.
• Click the title of the site.
• On the Site Overview page, locate the Site Access section.
• Select Password Protected.

• In the Enter Password field, enter a password for the site and click Save.

  On successful configuration, the site access badge is updated from Public to Password Protected and a confirmation message is displayed stating that the site is now password protected.

• Access the site to verify that you are prompted to enter the password for the site.
