Creating a new content type

Use the following steps to create a custom content type:

1. Access your site.

2. In the left sidebar, click Structure > Content types > Overview.
3. Click Add content type.
4. On the Add content type page, complete the configuration form.
5. Click Save.

Content type settings

• Menu settings control which menus content creators can add new content to.
• Search settings control whether content in the content type is accessible via search and sitemap.
  • Note: Search engines may still index the page for example when other pages link to content in the content type.
• Scheduled settings control whether scheduled publishing is used for the content type.
• Workflow settings control which workflow should be applied to the content type.
