Duplicating a site

The Sites Dashboard provides the option to duplicate a site with its codebase, files, and database.

Prerequisites

You must have the appropriate permissions to duplicate sites.
Your organization must have available site entitlements. If there are no available entitlements, the operation will fail with a clear message.

Use the following steps to duplicate a site:

Log in to Acquia Source to open the Sites Dashboard.
Select the target subscription (if applicable).
On the Sites tab, locate the site that you want to duplicate.
Click the Kebab menu icon on the site and click Duplicate Site.
In the resulting modal window, review the provided caveats and confirm that you wish to proceed.
Enter a label for the new site and select the target subscription (if applicable).
Confirm and start the site duplication process.
Once complete, the new site will appear in your dashboard with unique Acquia-generated URLs.
The operation is auditable and visible in Sites Dashboard notifications.
