Before you begin with these steps, ensure that you have languages configured for your site.
Use the following steps to translate menus on multilingual sites:
Access your site.
- In the left sidebar, click Structure > Menus.
- Navigate to Structure > Menus.
- From the list of available menus, select the menu that you want to edit.
- Select the language in which you want the menu to display.
- Use the language selector to translate menu items.
- Configure translation settings as needed.
- Click Save.
In addition to standard content links, you can create:
- External links: Links to other websites.
- Fragment links: Links to sections within the current page (#section).
- Special paths: Links to system functions such as search or user registration.
- Placeholder links: Non-linking items that serve as section headers. This is done using <nolink> as the path.
After setting up your menus, you may want to:
- Customize the appearance of your menus
- Configure components to control where menus appear
- Set up permissions for menu management
- Create content types with custom menu settings
