Use the following steps to associate a text format with a text field:

Access your site.
In the left sidebar, click Structure > Content types > Person.
Click the Manage fields tab.
Click Edit besides a field to configure it to use a text format.
For example, click Edit besides the Bio field whose field type is Text (formatted, long).
In field settings, locate the Allowed text formats section and select the checkboxes for the formats that can be used with this field.
Click Save.
Users with permission to use multiple formats can see a format selector when editing this field.
