No. Site Studio allows the site builder to select, either use of IMCE or Entity browser for browsing and selecting images.
Within the Site Studio system settings the site builder has the ability to select either IMCE or Entity browser (if installed) to upload, browse and select images throughout you website. Find out more about using media browsers with Site Studio.
