Introduction

View accessibility issues according to the code snippets on the pages where they occur. Fast track locates elements such as links, images, and text and addresses any accessibility and data privacy issues that are found. You can repair issues in bulk and fix, review, and ignore HTML snippets on affected pages. 

Navigation

This section provides instructions on how to navigate to

1. Log in to your Web Governance account.
2. Select the domain that you want to work with.
3. Expand the left menu bar if the options are not visible.

4. Click Accessibility (an icon of a human with outstretched arms).

   Note

   The Accessibility landing page displays the selected level of compliance and the WCAG compliance for all of the lower levels. For example, if WCAG 2.1 AA compliance is selected, the scan results also display the WCAG 2.1 A compliance results.

5. Select Fast track. 

Landing page

The landing page has the following features:

• A Search button

• Table columns:

  • Copy code to clipboard icon

  • Failing code

  • Show more link

  • Effect on score

  • Action

User actions

You can do these actions on the landing page:

• Search: Type a search string into the search text box to locate a specific page title or URL.
• Copy code to clipboard: Click the icon to copy the code snippet.
• Show more: Click the link to view the entire snippet that you can copy.
• Effect on score: This percentage shows how much your score improves when you correct this code. It measures the decrease in the gap between your current score and 100%.
• Select View affected checks in the Action column. The system opens the Affected checks for code page for the selected code.

Affected checks for code page

• Select a tab to filter the results for:
  • Automated checks: These are accessibility checks that the scan is able to accurately identifiy as failing.
  • Assisted checks: These are accessibility checks that cannot be determined by the scan and need a human review.
• Search: Type a search string into the search text box to locate a specific page title or URL.
• Filter: Click and select the desired filters for:
  • Level
  • Severity
  • Role
• Edit columns: Click and select table columns to show (selected) or hide (deselected).
• Export: Click Export (a download icon) for an export of the results. For more information and full instructions, read How to do an Export.
• In the Check column, click the article link for instructions in the Accessibility Guide on how to identify and fix the failing check.
• Actions: Click the vertical dots button on the same row as a failing check to expand the following options. Note that the choices can differ between Automated and Assisted checks:
  • Open an example: Select this option to open one instance of the failing check in the Web Governance Browser Extension and view the issue on the page.
  • View help article: Open the Accessibility Guide article about the failing check. For more information, read About the Accessibility Guide.

Undo review

To view issues that are marked as Reviewed, use the Audit Log. Only Admin users can view, edit, or reinstate issues that are marked as Reviewed with Fast track.
