A streamlined and intuitive experience
Get ready to govern faster! Starting November 2025, Acquia plans to introduce major enhancements to the Web Governance platform. The user interface (UI) will deliver a more modern, streamlined, and intuitive experience, while new features will deliver immediate efficiency gains to help you to achieve faster compliance.
The main goal of the redesign is to simplify the user experience across all product features. This redesign provides an easy-to-use and consistent workflow across all areas of the product.
Consistent experience: The new UI adopts the shared design pattern across all Acquia products to provide a unified experience across all Acquia tools.
Improved features: This effort is intended to incorporate highly-requested improvements into existing features of Web Governance.
New features: This effort is also intended to roll out new AI and other features to help your teams find and fix site issues faster than ever before.
When will the redesign happen?
Web Governance continuously releases updates through a phased rollout.
November 24, 2025: The Admin Settings functionality will be launched with its completely redesigned and improved experience. For more information, visit Admin Settings redesign launch: November 24, 2025.
During 2026: The Domains Overview screen will be redesigned, and enhancements will be made to the main navigation and the core modules: Accessibility, Quality Assurance, and Policies.
How this will impact you as a user
Web Governance releases updates continuously. This means that you will temporarily see a mix of old and new interfaces. This phased rollout may lead to brief periods of inconsistency. Be assured that the new designs are significantly easier to use and come packed with valuable new features, which will make the transition worthwhile.
The first stage of the redesign focuses exclusively on the Admin Settings section. This release only impacts Admin users. Regular users will not see any change.
What will change for Admin users?
New, modern design: Experience a fresh, simplistic look that is fully responsive and accessible on any device.
Brand new Admin Dashboard: Access a new Admin page that will have a set of most-used quick actions, such as Adding a user and Creating a label.
Simplified domain management: The domain list within Admin Settings will be removed. All admin actions for domains will be carried out directly from the Domain Overview dashboard, which is the first screen you that see when you log in.
Bulk user access: When creating or editing a domain, you will be able to provide access to all account users with a single click.
Streamlined Scan exclusions: When adding or editing a scan exclusion, you will be able to immediately assign it to one or more domains without the need to navigate to the Edit Domain screen.
