How does PageCorrect work?
What to use PageCorrect for¶
PageCorrect helps non-technical users address issues directly through the Acquia Web Governance platform. There is no need to log in to your CMS or access the website HTML code to use PageCorrect.
Issues and errors that PageCorrect can fix are:
- Web accessibility issues such as missing alt attributes and improperly used HTML header elements
- Quality assurance errors like broken links, broken images, and misspellings
With PageCorrect, you can maintain your site with an immediate response to errors without the need to manually find and fix them in your CMS.
- Achieve WCAG compliance.
- Customize your own rules for web content.
- Update specific text used across your website in bulk.
How PageCorrect works¶
The Web Governance PageCorrect add-on must be a part of your service offering and the script must be added to activate it. PageCorrect allows non-technical users to apply a temporary fix. The fix is done with a JavaScript overlay. For a permanent solution, the issue must be fixed permanently within the CMS or HTML code for the website by your web team.
Request a permanent fix¶
When you use PageCorrect to repair an issue, you must provide the following information to your web team about the issue:
- The location(s) and nature of the issue
- The corrected information
- Any other information about the issue that you can provide
