The Acquia Web Governance web browser extension may fail to highlight obvious accessibility issues. This article provides an explanation for the most likely cause for this issue.

In some cases, obvious issues are not highlighted by the extension. This can happen when the elements are updated during page loading and/or scrolling, and is in many cases due to slowly-loading pages. This causes the listed issue element and the element that is rendered on the actual page to differ, which results in a discrepancy. If elements do not load immediately as the page renders, the web browser extension cannot highlight them.
