The Heatmaps feature has not produced any new data for several days or weeks

Explanation of the issue

Each page in the Acquia Web Governance Heatmaps add-on registers a maximum of 1000 visits per page per month. On some sites, the page reaches this limit in the early days of the month. The Web Browser Extension default setting shows the incoming data for the last 7 days, and so the heatmap data may seem off. 

Solution

To check if this is the case, follow the steps below:

• In the Partner Platform, locate the Support Tools section on the left menu.

• Click to select Support Heatmaps.

• Enter the domain ID in the Domain URL field at the top of the page.

• Use the date picker to select a week at a time for the month they are interested in.

• Click Search.

• Do this several times during the month to determine if the maximum number of sessions was reached early on.
