Where is the Web Governance Heatmaps data stored?

The Web Governance Heatmaps data storage location is determined according to the branch or region that is specified by your contract. 

• USA: Data for customers with USA contracts is processed and stored in the USA.
• AU: Data for customers with Australian contracts is processed and stored in Australia.
• EU/UK: Data for customers with EU or UK contracts is processed and stored in the EU, unless another arrangement is agreed upon in the contract.

Additional information

The data that is captured and stored by the heatmapping tool within Web Governance is hosted on Google Cloud Platform. The stored data includes the following:

• Visitor IP addresses: These are masked (the last two octets are stripped) before storage.
• The Heatmaps and the Statistics modules do not rely on personally identifying visitor info, they use a generic visitor ID. Heatmaps works both when Statistics is set up to use cookies and when it is set up with the Cookieless functionality.
