Note
Pausing syndication requires Content Hub 3.3.0 or later.
As a Content Hub administrator, you can temporarily suspend webhook delivery for a subscriber and pause site syndication. This is useful during troubleshooting, staging down sites, or deployments.
Key factors¶
When you pause syndication, the subscriber ignores syndication events. Syndication events do not queue. This leads to paused subscribers falling out-of-sync with Content Hub.
When you resume syndication, the system processes new syndication events according to the standard operation. However, resuming syndication can increase the load during import queue processing, as the subscriber may need to create missing dependencies and apply related changes.
Pausing syndication using Publisher’s Dashboard¶
To pause syndication:
Navigate to the Connected Sites page using Publisher’s Dashboard.
Locate the site that you want to pause.
Open the context menu and select View Client Details.
On the Client Details page, slide the Webhook Delivery toggle bar to either enable or disable syndication.
To pause syndication, disable Webhook Delivery.
This suspends syndication from the Content Hub service to the site.
To resume normal syndication behavior, enable Webhook Delivery.
