Introduction¶

The Acquia Source CMS comes with the Acquia Optimize module for Acquia Source pre-installed. This module allows you to run quick scans from the experience builder interface in Acquia Source.

This article provides instructions for Acquia Source users on how to initiate a scan with this feature.

Prerequisites¶

• The user has access to Acquia Source.

How to initiate the Quick Scan¶

This section provides instructions for authorized users on how to do an Acquia Optimize Quick Scan with Acquia Source.

1. In Acquia Source, navigate to Site editing and edit the selected page.
   This opens the Experience Builder page.
2. Select Extensions on the left side panel.
3. Select Acquia Optimize.

4. Click Start Quick Scan.

   The system displays a progress bar to show the progress of the scan render task. When finished, the results are loaded and the rendered page is sent to the Acquia Optimize API for the scan.

5. When the module receives the results, view them summarized on the Experience Builder sidebar in the following categories:
   • Accessibility: Issues are summarized by guideline level (WCAG 2.1 A, WCAG 2.1 AA)

   • Readability: Issues are  shown as a level, mapped from the resulting score.

6. Click View Issues to view the list of issues and number of occurrences on the page of each issue.
7. Click the link to the Acquia Optimize user documentation to view the user documentation.
8. Re-scan the page as needed.
