Content with QA errors

Introduction

This article provides instructions on how to use the Quality Assurance feature to locate and handle website content errors.

Navigation

This section provides instructions on how to navigate to the Quality Assurance module.

  1. Navigate to your domain.
  2. Click Quality Assurance (the checkbox icon), on the page toolbar.

  3. The Quality Assurance dashboard opens.

Instructions

This section provides instructions on how to use the Content with QA Errors feature to find and repair quality assurance issues.

  1. Click Content with QA Errors from the menu on the left side of the page.

    The Content with QA Errors page opens.​

  2. On the menu bar at the top of the results list, use the buttons to navigate between:
    • All
    • Pages
    • PDF Documents
    • Other Documents.
  3. In line with the navigation filters, find also the options to:
    • Search: Click in the dialog box and type a search parameter.
    • Filter (the funnel icon). Click to filter for:
      • Labels
      • Languages
      • Contains.
  4. The list shows the contents of the website that had quality assurance errors. On the same row as each error, the following information is provided:
    • Title and URL: This is the title and URL of the content that has been targeted with errors. Click the URL. The Broken Links page opens.
    • Notifications: Here you see the number of notifications per page.
    • Priority: Low, Medium, High as determined by the number of page views.

    • Views: Approximate number of page views since the last scan. This information is only available when Statistics is enabled.

    • Open page details (the page icon): Click to view the issues on the page, rated per severity, as determined by the last scan.

      The details page opens.

      • Use the menu on the left to navigate between different types of issues. Instructions for the options are in the next section of this document.
      • Use the menu bar above the list to navigate between different modules.
      • Click Action on the same row as an item in the list and select from the options to designate the issue with:
        • Mark as fixed: Marks the issue as fixed. It will be included in subsequent scans and if the error returns, it will appear again in the broken links list. Select this option when the error is actually fixed by the web team on the HTML code of the webpage, or if it is a temporary (for example, in an unpublished state) known issue.
        • Mark as ignored - Use this option:

          • If links are incorrectly marked as broken.
          • To ignore spelling issues on a single-page basis.
          • To ignore all other issues on a domain level.
        • Inspect Page with Web Browser Extension (magnifying glass icon). Click to navigate to the Acquia Optimize Web Browser Extension, where you can repair many types of errors.

  5. From the menu on the left, navigate between:

Quality Assurance Reports

The available reports for the Quality Assurance module are:

  • Quality Assurance Report
  • Pages with Quality Assurance Errors Report
  • Broken Links Report
  • Misspellings Report
  • Pages with Misspellings Report
  • Potential Misspellings Report
  • Readability Score Report
  • Broken Links Per Page Report
  • Misspellings Per Page Report.
  1. Click Schedule This Report (calendar icon) on the same row as the report to receive the report as an email attachment. Multiple selection is allowed. See the Schedule a Report section of this document for instructions.
  2. Click Open Report (eye icon) to get the newest report. See the View a Report section of this document for instructions.
  3. Click Report Administration (gear icon) to add other users to receive the report. See the Add Users to Receive a Report section of this document for instructions.
