Campaign Studio provides tags to help you label contacts with keywords and
phrases so that you can organize contacts with similar qualities. You can apply
multiple tags to a single contact. After you create tags, you can reuse them
across contacts and leverage them to perform multiple actions in Campaign
Studio.
The Tags page is the main interface to create and manage tags in Campaign
Studio. However, you can also create tags by editing a contact. The Tags page
lists all the tags created in Campaign Studio, irrespective of the method used
for creating them.
The Tags page contains the following information:
Column
Description
NAME
Displays the tag name that you provide while creating it.
# CONTACTS
Displays the number of contacts and a link to view the list
of contacts the tag is applied to. To view the list of contacts
for a specific tag, click View # Contact.
ID
Displays the ID of the tag indicating the position at which the
tag is created in Campaign Studio. For example, an ID of 4 indicates
that it is the fourth tag that is created in Campaign Studio.
In the Description field, enter a description of the tag.
Click Save & Close.
Campaign Studio creates the new tag. You can apply the new tag to any of the
contacts in Campaign Studio, and use it through the system where tags are
available.
Click the + sign under any action, decision, or condition.
Click Select on the Condition tile.
Select Contact field value from the dropdown.
Campaign Studio displays the Contact field value dialog box.
In the Name field, enter a name for the condition.
In the Execute this event field, select the appropriate option.
In the Contact Field field, select Core Tags.
In Operator field, configure the appropriate condition.
In the Value field, manually write the tag that you want to apply to the
condition.
Note
Currently, existing tags do not automatically display in the Value
field. For quality control, see the list of tags on the Tags page when
manually adding tags.
